Subject: RE: BS: How Many Spatulas Do YOU Own???
I inherited a few tools from my dad which I thought were odd, outdated or obsolete only to find, courtesy of Google, that they're still being made and sold, albeit in more modern manifestations.

These pics are of newer versions. Mine are 60+ year old antiques.

Radiator hose clamp pliers: I thought the type of clamp these were made for had been done away with years ago.

Split-blade screwdriver: The two blades get compressed together in the screw slot, holding the screw tightly for one-handed work. Better than magnetic screwdrivers because they work on nonferrous screws. But they're only for straight-slot screws.

Fence/chicken wire splicing pliers: I used to join pieces of fencing by twisting small pieces of wire. Now I use my antique pliers and clips. The pliers are only suitable for a specific type of clip, of which I only have 100 or so left. Once they're gone, I'll probably have to update to a newer version.
