Obviously, competition played a massive part in this during the cold war.

But, in 2019 I seriously disagree that Nationalist pride should still play a part.

Modern Space exploration NEEDS to be a cost effective collaberative joint co-operative effort
between nations of equals,
and aspiring equals...
