Subject: RE: Help: Capers / Folk Camp Holidays
We started folk camping (now Capers) around 25 years ago. Stopped about 10 years later, after being leader at around 20 or so camps. It was fantastic, brill, amazing .... etc. I am told by many friends who still go that it still is, but in many different ways. For me, its delight was its simplicity and the fact that everyone was there to take part and contribute. My later camps were spoiled by people who came "to be entertained", spent most of their time off-site "doing their own thing" and were constantly complaining that things weren't "right".

Like so many things, you will get out of a folk camp proportionally to what you put in. We have made some great friends over the years and are still in touch with many of them - even if it is only once in three years! Go along with the intention of "geeting involved" and you won't be dissappointed!
