The Wikipedia page on Blackbeard is good. It points out that Blackbeard didn't get people killed if he could help it, but exploited his scary image as far as possible to intimidate his targets. So it would make sense for his crew to use loud and frightening songs during an attack.

"Liliburlero" would fit the bill - right period, and it's a faked-up song about a threatened massacre.
