It never surprises me when politicians and religious leaders are small minded - it's been happening for centuries! Getting the popularity vote is made easier by blaming minority groups.

Luckily, there will always be clear thinkers who don't require arbitrarily imposed structures to help them decide what's right annd what's ridiculous.
