Chiming in seven years later -- I disagree about The Real Bahamas takung a while to get comfortable with; for me, the instsnt it started playing, when the first notes of "We Will Understand It Better By and By" sounded, I was wholly in love; that was 1969, and I'm still in love with that album 50 years later. I feel like it was the beginning of my life -- that and "Negro Religious Songs and Services" from the Library of Congress, which hit me the same way and still does. Life-changing music.
