Wizz, once the archetypal Cornwall busking hippie, came to our folk club regularly in the 90s, maybe before that as well, at the Tree Inn in Bude. He's amazing, jackknifed over his guitar, as good as it gets. The last time I went to see him, I spent half of the evening in the nearby hospital as a huge nurse lowered over me in order to remove a foreign object from my eye. God, that hurt. Fortunately, she succeeded and I got back in time for Wizz's set. I wouldn't want him to think that I remember him for all the wrong reasons!
