His parent were newly come down Scots, he was surrounded by Scots fiends and neighbours who taught him Scots songs he was as Scots as anybody with parents from Ireland living in Britain were British/Irish
s it jealousy at MacColl' enormous talent which causes this small mindedness towards a three-decades dead world-respected artist ?
