I do agree that the last two lines of Verse 1 look odd. "My Father’s Mother’s face was a map of the roads her feet had trod" could end with "Maeve's feet had trod," an edit with which this website (link) agrees with.

That same website agrees with your opening line to verse 2, though I think ending with "Though I've seen the cool green shores" makes more sense
