I know this is an old thread but it's worth knowing that Box & Cox were notorious for taking old trad songs and copyrighting a slightly altered version, mainly during WWII when most people were distracted by other things, likewise Jimmy Kennedy.

Stuff like Hokey Cokey, Fireship, Bell-bottom Trousers etc.

Some of the versions given above are hybrids. I've got sheet music for the 'Rolling Home' chorus song somewhere.
