Hi Joe, thanks for your contribution. I like both traditional and contemporary. There is a wealth of talented musicians performing traditional music and their own songs. I reckon Caroline Herring is up there with Kate Wolf, Linda Thompson, Diana Jones, Karen Dalton et alia.

For a mix of traditional and original songs by a female artist, check out the recent album by Katie Theasby of whom there has been no mention in this forum. I'm sure you would enjoy her recordings.
