Creeping back to the original topic (though I'm also fascinated with the metaphysics, and have had some very interesting recent experiences along that line), there is an aspect of the alien abduction stories that I've never seen discussed. A few years ago somebody gave me the book "Abduction" to read. I skimmed it, and it seemed to me that a number of the "abductees" mentioned in passing that they had been sexually abused in their pre-abduction past. Many of the descriptions of the abduction experiences also included "sexual experiments." Now, maybe I didn't read enough of the book, but I was surprised that the author, who as I recall is a psychiatrist, seemed to ignore completely this common thread in the abductees' history. Does anybody have any familiarity with this?
