In the UK between 1966 and 1991 the GPO (later BT) had a dial a disc services where each day people good dial in to hear a different chart record.

I remember dialling into this a couple of times from phone boxes in the 70s. Does anyone have recollections of this service, or even recall hearing any folk records?
