TOMORROW, I’m Going Down to Sydney
By Chris Buch
Tomorrow, I’m going down to Sydney In the morning, they’ll see me city-bound Tomorrow, I’m going down to Sydney In the hope, that you’ll still be around.
You used to lie beside me in the morning Your eyes still closed, your hair all tumbling down Then one day, without a word of warning You packed your bags, and headed for the town.
I still have, your picture and your letters When I read them now, they cause a bit of pain You won’t find anyone, to love you better And I ask you, won’t you try me once again.
I know you wanted, what I couldn’t give you Fancy clothes and shiny silver rings But the love I have inside of me to give you Is worth more, than all those fancy things.
Tomorrow, I’m going down to Sydney In the morning, they’ll see me city bound Tomorrow, I’m going down to Sydney In the hope, that you’ll still be around.
Tomorrow, I’m going down to Sydney……….
I haven’t found this online, but one day I may come across a recording of Chris, or even Paul Lawler, singing it at the Gun Turret in Darwin .....
