What a strange thread to discover.

Well, my little Hedy sharing is that here in my home county, which is in a county adjoined to Hedy's home county, there is a very distinct local music legend whom is mostly sort of punk, folk, rock, blues based, and has been prominently around since the early 80s at least. He is quite the musical well, and has often through the years made mix tapes and CDs and given out to friends. Somewhere along the line I got ahold of a couple of them that had a couple of Hedy songs on each, at differing times. "Fragments", "Drowsy Sleeper", "Little Willie", and "Letter from Down the Road".

I had no idea who this angelic sounding voice accompanied only by delicate banjo sounds was (mixed in on a very genre eclectic compilation) and asked him, and was surprised to hear she was a folk revival person who had come from the next county over. I wanted to hear everything I could.

At around that time, you couldn't get anything Hedy, it was all out of print. I think I actually found this place in a search and might have even joined up, but definitely not sure. All I know is that somewhere on the Internet after lots of Googling Hedy, I found a small group of enthusiasts and one of them from Germany sent me CD-Rs of Hedy's entire catalog, including some I've never seen mentioned, a live show in Germany from 1968, another from Chicago 1978, I think in a university setting, and another with some folk festival performances.

They told me welcome to a very small club that "has everything". I wonder if that was indeed here at Mudcat, it kinda feels like it might well have been.
