The oldest version I could find from google was on the Neston u3a website.
I've had this reply from Lesley after making enquiries via their webmaster.

A friend forwarded it to me and I sent it to someone in Neston U3A.
I had tried to find out who wrote it but it was a mystery. There was a bit of a mistake when it was shared on the Neston site as it was added with the phrase ‘from Lesley’ and then I asked for it to be made clear that it wasn’t ‘by Lesley’ ,,," Lesley Sutherland
