Hank: You could help me settle an old Discogs mystery. Does/did "your" George Alpert look anything like this guy:

Photo caption:
“GRAND G+W TOUR – Cash Box president and published George Alpert (r.) paid a visit to the Gulf * Western world headquarters building which houses Famous Music Corp. Pubbery's president Bill Gallagher gave
Alpert a tour of the corporations offices.”
[Cash Box, 20 June 1970, p.24 ]

Caption:
“George Albert (1 of 1)
The Sylvers visiting the Los Angeles offices of Cashbox music trade magazine (Foster Sylvers, George Albert - President and publisher of Cashbox Magazine, Angie Sylvers)”
[IMDB: George Albert]

The same fellow (methinks) appears under Discogs' "Albert George" profile (Bonnevilles, Harmonaires &c) as well which (methinks2) is just plain wrong. The Mount Vernon George also has credits under both Alpert and Albert.

"B" is correct for the Cash Box George but probably not for the references to the Apollo Records accountant linked to him. Fun times huh?
