Always a tricky one, Richard. Mustrad has just been umbrellaed by Reinhard's Mainly Norfolk. John Earl has donated his great sheet music collection to EFDSS; but still far too much goes astray when a collector or researcher shuffles off. At least with orgs like TSF we can keep an eye out for each other. If something happens to me prematurely I know that SteveR or Ruairidh will preserve what needs saving. When Malcolm left us there were several of us who saw that all of his records went to appropriate places to be preserved. When Nigel Hudleston went his heiress was extremely anxious that all of his stuff went to appropriate places, even though she knew nothing of his work. I got a lot of important stuff but he had already given all his recordings to Sheffield Uni where they now reside.

Important websites do get archived by the BL consortium, but according to what it says above they are not always easy to access. I know our Yorkshire Garland site has been archived and we are struggling to keep the funding going to keep it maintained. We probably have enough left in the coffers for another couple of years and plans to raise a little at a time to cover it.
