Oh, I am sorry to learn that she is gone! Eleanor was like a sister/mother to me at Portland State in the 1950s. We took many classes together and spent a great deal of time together outside of classes as well. Unfortunately, our lives grew apart, but she remained an inspiration to me when I decided to go back to school for a master’s in linguistics in the early 70s. So good to know that she was able to pursue her love of folklore and with another folklorist by her side. My best to the family.
