I don’t think that Norwich had the money last time and didn’t want to gamble on big spends. I’m not sure it would be any different if we go up again.

Probably the biggest name Norwich had and within my memory (in fact I was much keener then) was Martin Peters. Presumably past his West Ham and Spurs best but a great asset to Norwich. You will probably still hear people say “what we need is another Martin Peters” – not too expensive but with a wealth of experience and skill but they may also debate as to whether you can find such a player now?
