A lovely guy.
I was in Germany when Germany was doing the world cup when I met him. He came to the hotel, and we took him and his wife out for a meal in the old town bit of Cologne.

Afterwards he stopped with us a short while and he was very gracious about my attempt at vegetarian cooking. He was a bit cut up about Brexit, and not long after that he started with the cancer.

Iwill miss his presence on the net. He was a great songwriter - my favourite was his song The Looe Boys
