Thanks GUEST,# for re-linking Bayard's piece, which I came across on YT in June last year; good to have it "closer to the action" in this long-time thread :)

In the other Mudcat thread concerning that particular piece, I recall someone saying they had read it was based on a poem written for a Nun (I think?) - be good if that ever came to light, coz even though it was known as Bayard's   "signature tune",
it is uncertain that he actually 100% wrote the song!!! (the music of which was apparently Based On an old Lute exercise piece - a poster named Serafyn? had info on that and there was a YT clip of it) ..........)
