The tambourine is bodhran-sized but has jingles. A bit like an Egyptian mazhar, and the drummer is beating it the same way (no subtle stuff, just bang in the middle for a basic beat). And the flute player is wearing a regimental cap.

It seems to have been a regular thing in Scotland a bit earlier for a fiddler to be accompanied by his wife on the tambourine.
