Morecambe Bay by Maggie Holland. Written as she passed Morecambe Bay on a WCML train.

The 2007 folk song "On Morecambe Bay" by Southport singer Kevin Littlewood, recorded by Christy Moore.

Two songs about the Morecambe Bay cockling disaster on the evening of 5 February 2004 at Morecambe Bay in North West England, when at least 21 Chinese illegal immigrant labourers were drowned by an incoming tide while picking cockles off the Lancashire coast.

BALLERINA by Dave Walters

She's hove to again, pulled her head to wind
Drifting to nowhere borne by the tide
Roll on the day when she sails clean away
Her white winding wake to her stern

Chorus
She's a ship without water, a king's ransom daughter
Sailing alone on the tide
She slowly advanced, squared up then danced
The belle ballerina of the bay

A lovely song about a nobby - a Morecambe Bay prawner he sailed.
