Back in the mid 1990s, I was at a London house party, held by an old mate who is a somebody in the horror genre fiction business..
A clique of guests were young self identifying vampires.. They definitely looked the part. But when they opened their mouths they were so hilariously conventional and boring. A larger part of their group conversation was discussing the ins and outs of that weeks top TV soap opera episodes.. Then one of them got in a panic because he couldn't find his bus pass..
Apparently he must also have forgotten how to turn into a bat and fly home...???
That was a good two decades before "What we do in the shadows"...
