From a quick listen, it sounds like Maddy Prior has used the version recorded from Beckett Whitehead of Delph, with several verses added. MacColl's version is also probably derived from Whitehead (allegedly the source for 'Four Loom Weaver' as well), but the modal tune and some of the verses are clearly MacColl's. There's nothing about Dukinfield, looms or bedding lasses in the straw in Beckett's song nor, I suspect, in any other version.
