Old age is not for sissies, is it!

If he were one of my relatives,
I would tell him to resign, like Benedict/Ratzinger, at this point.
If only for his own health and
for other people to stop worrying over him.

Too much confusion in my own mind
over his office and how he ought to use it.
I just feel for him as
one senior citizen feels for another.

And I hope, selfishly, that we do not have another
long drawn-out deathwatch phase
as we did with John Paul II.
