Alanabit had been one of my best friends from the day we met as newbies at university in England in October 1981. We played together pretty much all over western Europe at one point.

I'm not sure how many of his Mudcat friends will be aware but he released four albums, the last around the time of his premature passing. I've uploaded them all to Bandcamp (with his blessing and at his specific request) and they can be found at alanmoorhouse.bandcamp.com. You can listen up to three times without paying anything but downloads come at a small cost, all proceeds of which will go to his daughter. If you're minded to purchase downloads, don't do it yet as I'll be reducing the price in the next few days. I'll add to this thread when I've done that.

Hard CD copies of his latest album are available from his daughter; please let me know if you'd like one. Be aware, however, that she's in Germany and postage to north America can be quite pricey.

To all of Alan's Mudcat friends: whether you knew him in real life or not, may your memories of him be as wild as mine are. I'll remember the man who taught me a lot as a musician and songwriter; the guy I got stupid drunk with more times than I can recall; the man who turned up at my wedding in a beret and flip flops; and the man I regarded as my closest friend.
