Dupont:

Progress! R helped and we sorted plants out with larger saucers, a soaker hose in the back garden, a "y"connection for the outdoor water faucet, a repaired hose - that was lying around doing naught. R can turn on the water, one side or both, run the soaker hose, and water the deck plantings with the hose and one of those sprayers with various settings. I have a whole bunch of filled gallon jugs inside front door for watering the front plants, also with larger saucers.

Tomorrow I go to Beaver. Tonight making a roast pork with potatoes, carrots and onions to last him a few days. He can always get something in the city. Lots of bread!!! and cheese and tomatoes - a couple each day. And his precious mayo.

The grapevines on the garage have decent ripe grapes today; R picked them and I have cooked them with some apples. May need to add sugar!

There are also grapevines on the house but the grapes are smaller and less accessible - at the second floor level - where I saw a chipmunk (!) run across the ledge outside the screen as I closed the window this am.

I did get rid of Freshy as per instructions! and am back to google!

The outdoor work today has worn me out; hoping for some new energy - to pack up for tomorrow. Remembering some bread! And whatever in the fridge needs cooking sooner.

Will be great to get to a slightly cooler clime. Or, at least, a house that cools off more easily at night. And to finish pots, and make more.
