Permafrost is not just a thin layer, it can be deeper than 50 feet and does not refreeze even over the winter. It will not matter to our kids if this obsevation is ignored or critisized. Were not talking about great great grand children anymore, this is going to be quicker beyond anything we can do. All we can do is buy time since the carbon release will exceed all oil deposit release, forest fires, and man made control of carbon release.
