That's funny Sandra. Our old weatherboard house was on piers and the local cats used to go from the one side of the house to the other as a shortcut. It didn't work out so well when I blocked off their exit because then they all went round and round in circles under the house making annoying yowling noises so I had to unblock that section. The stupid thing is that there were openings along half the length of the house but they had their habitual route and demanded to keep using it. (We fixed the problem. Knocked the old house down and built a new one on a concrete slab. Unless they want to dig a tunnel, they just have to walk around it and create a new habitual route.)

Speaking of habitual routes of local wildlife, I like those possum bridges strung above highways.
