Whilst recordings may be uploaded to YouTube unfortunately they then reduce the bitrate to less than listenable quality. For hifi audio there is WAV or FLAC formats. MP3 is crap, but the minimum for listenable music is 320kbps. To use the argument that it is 'only folk' so why bother is frankly offensive to the genre and performers. Instead of YouTube there is Dimeadozen - and there's many great shows on there - in FLAC format. And membership is free.
