I'm not a performing singer, just occasional audience. Some songs are done to death, but I do enjoy a song where I can belt out a chorus.
One thing I hate is an introduction that gives the whole story of the song, why bother singing it then. Or one that tells me what my reaction should be before I've heard it.
A song should tell it's own story.
