Our news graphics show UK, Ireland and Germany in red for Omicron but since it has been found in Kentucky it is certainly in the US but there seems to be a lid on reporting. A spike in reported new cases > 40% does NOT SHOW ANYTHING BEYOND AN INCREASE IN TRANSMISSABILITY so there is reason to hope that severity has not increased. Moderna and Pfizer is making a mrna vaccine to be on the safe side.
