Next week an appointment is scheduled to service my car.
To be on the safe side, have asked to reserve a loaner car,
in case my car has to be left at the service shop for more than a few hours.
There's enough things on the checklist,
and worrying details
(a dashboard light saying PARKING BRAKE coming on AFTER the ignition is turned off, with a frightening grinding noise underneath)
that the work may not be done quickly. Keep my fingers crossed here.

The campus provides for my needs well enough;
having the car, though, keeps me from going ... you know what.
