I am sad at learning that Hall died of suicide. I always enjoyed his songs. He was a gifted songwriter and he always gave it a homey touch. You don't have to a Country Music fan to remember 'Old Dawgs, Children and Watermelon Wine'.


Don't get me wrong: I don't really object to old people taking themselves off the planet- and he was 85. I think that is their own decision to make. But it implies such a loneliness. I don't get lonely but I understand the concept.
