Randy is new here, and made a few mistakes. I fixed them. I hadn't known that the Irish song Bard of Armagh was the tune for what I know as an American cowboy song called "The Streets of Laredo."What Cisco Houston called "The Dying Cowboy" is known to me as "Bury Me Not on the Lone Prairie." It gets confusing. As Dick Greenhaus always used to say, don't depend on song titles.
As in much of life, there are no absolutes in folk music. It all goes around in circles.
Welcome to Mudcat, Randy.
