That thread came from a place of vitriol that wasn't going to do anything but start fights. Several members expressed disgust with it. I even posted to it, but had a bad feeling about it from the beginning.

The topic can be discussed, but I would suggest a less hot-headed member of the group start something like that. And someone who doesn't start way too many threads already.
