Thread Name: BS: Sci-Fi and/or fantasy authors
Subject: RE: BS: Sci-Fi and/or fantasy authors
I was a library junkie from the age of eleven, over six decades ago!, and science fiction was a big part of what I read. Many of the authors names are now lost to me now but I do remember Heinlein and Azimoth. Bradbury was a bit dark and very strange. Philip K Dick was not always to my taste.
There were Neville Shute novels on my parents book shelves but at that time I preferred Sci Fi.
Three or four decades later I got into Neville Shute novels in a big way. I read every one of his novels and his autobiography Sliderule. That's not going to be a good read if your politics are to the left. Trustee From The Toolroom was one of my favourites. All heroes and no baddies.
In my thirties I discovered Roger Zelazney. More fantasy than S F but I read every one I could find.
I don't read much these days. Perhaps I spend too long online.
