He goes around referring to himself as, amongst other things,
Captain Jack Sparrow.

That series of films -- Pirates of the Caribbean --
is what sent his career into a totally different orbit.
The first of the films was witty, and if I recall right,
for that one film Depp got a Best (Supporting??) Actor nomination at the Oscars.
Once Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom dropped that series,
I stopped watching the sequels,
Geoffrey Rush or no Geoffrey Rush.

Before Depp's career blasted off into outer space,
he had a wife and children and was a tolerably happy man.
Then she divorced him I think, quietly and sadly.

No doubt, Ms. Heard will appeal.
