Forecast for this weekend, approaching
the summer solstice in the Northern Hemisphere,
is for a last breath of late spring:
cool, clear, a little breezy,
an occasional chance of rain.

I for one welcome this with open arms.
Summer in this area, high summer,
is muggy and sweltering hot with too many blood-drinking bugs.

Too bad for the people who want to spend the weekend at the beach
and find that the water is just that little bit too cold.
