Update. I usually talk food. I always try not to have the same main course in the evening for the whole holiday. Easily done. I also like to have something new. One was a pork slowkooked joint like lamb kleftiko. Friends who'd had it earlier said it was enough for two (nonsense!). One of my favourite Greek sweets is glaktoboureko. In one place it was served deconstructed: the custard, warm & fresh in a jar, the filo pastry separate in a wooden shovel and the syrup in a little flask: mix your own to taste. Lovely! Gopes are sardine sized fish. When offered them we were told the portion was 7 or none. (I suspect that was all that was left). Sheila had 3 I had the other 4. We were so zonked out by the journey that when shopping on the way to the apartment we just grabbed the first tub of butter. I should have noticed it said "katsiki" and had a picture of a goat on it; goat's milk butter! It was fine.
