Thanks for the update Steven. I first met Hector in 1965, even before the Sing Out folk club in Crewe. He came to our school Ceilidh One Society concert as a guest singer. Everyone mentions his fine tenor voice: he could easily have had a career as a crooner in big bands (and I believe was almost tempted by that route) but decided dairying wasn’t the more stable profession His funeral was extremely moving, a sad occasion, and I held on emotionally until that final recording of him singing The Last Trip Home. I think a lot of people succumbed to tears then. A memorial concert sounds like a fitting tribute
