You said they would be welcomed but it really wasn’t true.
You told them not to worry, it’s not a real war.

You need to extricate yourself some time, some where, some how.
You bring your troops back home and you tell them they have won.
Who will want Ukraine now that the dirty deed is done?

Well, Mr Putin, what have you got?
A lot of flattened buildings and a lot of people shot.
But you’re still ruling Russia so it must have been worthwhile.
Oh, Mr Putin, what a really nasty smile.
