Sorcha: I don't have a Cyrillic font, so I can't tell, but the melody is "Ochi Chorny"(or however else you decide to transliterate it), "Black Eyes." I've never heard it done in French, although it might be possible; the lyrics I first learned for it (ah, folk process) were: "Ochi Chorny Why was I born-y In Californ-y Ochi Chorny"
