Me too: it seemed that half the world had never ever heard of it, while the other half just could not understand why these ignoramuses hadn't. Most of my friends that knew it seemed to have some sort of military background. And a bit unfair to use an acronym, though again knowing friends tell me it has wormed its way into British and US dictionaries!
