Thread Name: Tunes: Ezekiel's Wheel, also Dry Bones
Subject: Lyr Add: EZEKIEL
Can't help you with the tune, but here is a neat version of Ezekiel that is less common than most. Two different groups of my friends perform it regularly.

EZEKIEL

Ezekiel went down in the middle of the field,
saw an angel workin' on a chariot wheel.
He wasn't particular 'bout the chariot wheel,
he wanted to know how the chariot'd feel.

Chorus:
Why don't you swing down sweet chariot, stop, and let me ride
Swing down sweet chariot, stop, and let me ride,
Rock me Lord, rock me Lord, calm and easy,
I've got a home on the other side.

Ezekiel went down and he got on board,
the chariot started bumpin' on down the road.
He wasn't particular 'bout the bumpy road,
he wanted to lay down his heavy load.

chorus

I've got a father in the promised land,
don't mean to stop until I shake his hand.
I've got a mother that has gone before,
waiting for me at Heaven's door.

chorus

For a 30 second RealAudio clip of a somewhat similar song by Ian and Sylvia, go to Tunes.com then go down to cut 13, Swing Down, Chariot
