Subject: RE: Origins: I'm not in the navy, a sailor boy I sit
We’re Johnson’s and dad had his own version long ago here’s what I can remember

I’m not in the navy
Sailor boys don’t sit
Ain’t got no one to keep me
So I don’t give a
Ship don’t sail very far
To sea out from shore
And they don’t wear those little bity skirts
So you can’t call them
Horse bridle and saddle
Are the only things I sell
If you don’t wanna buy them
Then you can go to
Helen is my girlfriend
She drives an old ford truck
She ain’t too great at drivin
But you ought to see her
Fumble fumble fumble
She fumbles with my heart
Every time I eat them ole navy beans
It makes me wanna
Forty dollars I will spend
Spend no more of it

You better get up mr ole Johnson
it’s time to move along

All around the house at night
Nasty old dog would hunt
Run his nose up a ladies clothes
And try to smell her
Come away
You nasty dog
Come away I say
There ain’t been a man in the whole wide world to lay between her
But I thank you for this glass of beer
Thank no more of it

I said you better get up mr ole Johnson it’s time to pack this ship
