The song Lovesick Blues was written in 1922 by Irving Mills and Cliff Friend in the same year. The first recording by Emmett Miller was made in 1925. The George Cracers that backed him had a young Louis Armstrong on trumpet. in 1949 Hank Williams adapts new words his version is nothing like Miller's at all.
