Hm, don't know if the UK laws align with the Irish, and indee if the Irish laws have changed in the last 40 years of so… but it used to be in Ireland that a kid could work, for instance, picking up and returning glasses in a pub from the age of 14, though I think there was a limit to the number of nights per week.
